Ali Süleyman — Biography

Ali Suliman, born 10 October 1977 in Nazareth, is an Israeli-citizen actor who identifies as Palestinian and works across stage, film and television. He graduated from the Yoram Loewenstein Performing Arts Studio and began his career in theater. In 2005 he starred in Paradise Now, which won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film and was nominated for an Academy Award, and the role brought him wide recognition. He went on to play a variety of parts in international productions: a lawyer in Lemon Tree, Omar Sadiki in Body of Lies, a displaced young Palestinian in The Time That Remains, a surgeon in The Attack, Gulab in Lone Survivor and General Qamish in The Looming Tower. In 2018 he reached a broader audience as Mousa Bin Suleiman in the spy series Jack Ryan. More recently he has appeared in Farha, The Swimmers and Yunan, and plays King Saul in the series House of David. Alongside acting, he also works as a film producer.
