Necmi Yapıcı — Biography

Necmi Yapıcı is a familiar face of Turkish television comedy, best remembered as Feridun Bitir in Ayrılsak da Beraberiz and as Kahveci Mesut in the long-running Seksenler. Besides acting he has worked as a director and playwright, and he is also a musician and voice artist. In 2026 he continued the children's and family events "Necmi Yapıcı ile Eğlence Karnavalı" in Fethiye.

Born in the Buca district of İzmir, Yapıcı graduated from the Acting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University. Fame came with Ayrılsak da Beraberiz, which stayed on screen for five seasons between 1999 and 2004 and neared 490 episodes; he appeared as Feridun again in producer Birol Güven's next series, Sonradan Görme. He then acted in series such as Papatyam, Babam Sağolsun, Meryem, Kocaman Ailem (as Naci Haznedar), Ev Yapımı and Senden Daha Güzel, while his role as Mesut in TRT 1's Seksenler ran from 2012 to 2022.

In cinema he took part in comedies such as Keloğlan Karaprens'e Karşı, Şans Kapıyı Kırınca, Beyaz Melek and Sadece Sen (2014), and most recently appeared in Bakkal Amca: Mahmut Tuncer (2024) and Bi' Umut (2025).
