Pierre Ménès — Biography

Pierre Ménès was born on 29 June 1963 in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and built his career as a French football commentator, analyst and presenter. A graduate of Paris Nanterre University, he joined the newspaper L'Équipe in 1983 and spent twenty-one years there before moving to M6; he joined Canal+ in 2009, serving as an analyst on Canal Football Club.

In March 2021 Ménès was accused of sexual harassment by a former colleague; that July he was removed from his role at Canal+ and from his commentary position on EA Sports' FIFA games, and he was arrested in December of the same year. According to French Wikipedia, he was convicted of sexual assault in April 2023. Across his career he has also taken small roles in a handful of French comedy films, including Neuilly sa mère! (2009) and Beur sur la ville (2011).
