Estergon Kalesi

Estergon Kalesi is a 1950 Turkish film directed by Vedat Örfi Bengü. Produced by Halk Film, it is a historical adventure set around Estergon Castle in the Ottoman era. On their way to the fortress, Kocabey and Canbey stop at an inn where brigands are preparing a raid; the innkeeper's daughter Nadya warns them and later alerts the garrison commander to a planned attack on the castle. A love story that develops along the way sits at the heart of the narrative. This work from the early years of Turkish cinema features Cahit Irgat and Hulusi Kentmen.
