Yüzbaşı Tahsin
Captain Tahsin is a 1950 Turkish drama film. Based on a story by Hıfzı Tan, the film was written, directed, and starred in by Orhon Murat Arıburnu. Produced by Naci Duru for Duru Film, the music was composed by Perihan Altındağ Sözeri. The writer Halikarnas Balıkçısı Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı also had a role in the film.
The story revolves around Cavalry Captain Tahsin, who was wounded during the Turkish War of Independence and lost his memory. While recovering in the village of Kuyucak, a romantic relationship develops between Tahsin and Belkıs, the village teacher. Belkıs writes to her teacher friend Pakize in Eskişehir, requesting a doctor to help him recover; however, it is later revealed that Tahsin is actually Pakize's husband, who was believed to be dead. Belkıs Dilligil also stars in the film as Pakize.
