Mystic (Mıstık) (translated)

Mıstık is a 1971 Turkish film directed by Ülkü Erakalın and released in color on 1 November 1971. The screenplay was written by Bülent Oran, one of Yeşilçam's most prolific writers, with Ümit Utku serving as producer under the Kervan Film banner.

Set in a fairy-tale past, the story follows a poor villager who roams the land in search of a cure for his sick mother, only to be thrown into a dungeon by the country's cruel king. Blending emotional drama with comedy, the film stars Müjdat Gezen in the title role, supported by well-known performers of the era such as Cahide Sonku, Erol Taş, Mine Mutlu, Atıf Kaptan and Nubar Terziyan. Enver Burçkin handled the cinematography.
