Wentworth Miller — Biography

Wentworth Earl Miller III was born on 2 June 1972 in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England. Though born in England, he built his acting and writing career in the United States. He studied English literature at Princeton University. He made his television debut in 1998 with a small role in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and in 2005 he made brief appearances in Mariah Carey's music videos for "It's Like That" and "We Belong Together." He became widely known for playing Michael Scofield on Fox's Prison Break, a role that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama in 2005. Between 2014 and 2017 he played Leonard Snart, also known as Captain Cold, on The Flash and its spin-off Legends of Tomorrow. His first produced screenplay was the 2013 film Stoker, and he went on to write the 2016 film The Disappointments Room.
