Jacques Varennes — Biography
Born Louis-Henri André, Jacques Varennes was a French film actor credited in roughly seventy pictures; he was born on 8 November 1894 in Mantes-la-Jolie. Among the notable roles of his career was his part in Maurice Tourneur's 1938 historical drama Le Patriote.
In later years he was mostly seen in supporting and character parts, appearing in pictures such as La Poison, Caroline Chérie (both 1951), Le Rouge et le Noir (1954) and Napoléon (1955). Varennes died in Saint-Cloud on 6 September 1958.
