Atçalı Kel Mehmet

Atçalı Kel Mehmet is a 1964 Turkish adventure film from the Yeşilçam era, adapted from Murat Sertoğlu's novel of the same name. It draws on the folk legend of the historical Aegean bandit-hero (efe) Atçalı Kel Mehmet, following a young man who is driven to outlaw life in the mountains for the sake of the woman he loves.

The film was directed by Asaf Tengiz and stars Fikret Hakan, one of the well-known leading men of Turkish cinema at the time.
