A Little Cloud (Bir Küçük Bulut) (translated)

Bir Küçük Bulut is a 1990 Turkish drama directed by Faruk Turgut from a screenplay by Cemal Şan. The story centres on Saycan, who earns his living working in a pudding shop in İstanbul and eventually brings his wife, father and child to join him in the city. Having no home of their own, the family stays at the house of his uncle's son, but the financially struggling host, worn down by his wife's constant complaints, turns them out. Saycan's friendship with Memet, the dishwasher at his workplace, sets off a chain of events that proves disastrous for the family. Dealing with themes of migration, poverty and family solidarity, the film stars Tarık Akan as Saycan and Füsun Demirel as his wife.
