Kaplanlar (Tigers) is a 1985 Turkish adventure-action film jointly directed by Cüneyt Arkın and Çetin İnanç. Arkın also wrote the screenplay and starred in the lead role as Murat, a combination of duties typical of his prolific career in the Yeşilçam era. The cast includes Bahar Öztan, Hüseyin Peyda, Tuğrul Meteer, Gazi Havvaş, Aydın Haberdar, Leyla Somer and Yılmaz Kurt. A co-production between Turkey and Jordan, the film was produced by Mehmet Karahafız for Anıt Film, with Sedat Ülker serving as director of photography. Shot in color on 35 mm, it belongs to the wave of fast-paced action pictures that dominated Turkish popular cinema in the 1980s. The production reflects the period's characteristic style, in which leading stars frequently took on creative control behind the camera as well.
