World of Hope (Umut Dünyası) (translated)

Umut Dünyası is a 1973 Turkish drama film written and directed by Safa Önal. The picture stars Tarık Akan and Necla Nazır, two of the best-known performers of Turkish cinema at the time, with Şükriye Atav and Atıf Kaptan also appearing in the cast. Running about ninety minutes, the film belongs to the melodramatic tradition of 1970s Yeşilçam filmmaking, the popular Turkish studio era in which Önal was a prolific director and screenwriter.
