Two Prisoners (İki Esir) (translated)

İki Esir (Two Prisoners) is a 1971 feature film made as a joint production between Turkey and Iran. The Turkish side was directed by Natuk Baytan, with Esmail Koushan handling the Iranian side, while Fuat Özlüer wrote the screenplay. Produced by Erler Film, it stars Cüneyt Arkın and Filiz Akın, joined by Iranian performer Humayun Tebrizyan.

Shot in both Turkish and Persian, the roughly 93-minute picture mixes adventure and comedy elements. It stands as one of the co-productions mounted between the two countries' film industries in the early 1970s and reflects the popular Yeşilçam filmmaking style of its era.
