Mualla

Mualla is a black-and-white Turkish film made in 1964 that reached cinemas two years later, on 11 March 1966. A sentimental drama, it was adapted for the screen from a work by Muazzez Tahsin Berkant. Ülkü Erakalın directed, Bülent Oran wrote the screenplay and Menasi Filmeridis was cinematographer; Ülkü Film and Pesen Film produced it. It is remembered among the films Türkân Şoray and Ediz Hun made together.

The story concerns a writer who marries a poor girl he has never met. Türkân Şoray stars, with Adalet Cimcoz dubbing her voice. Ediz Hun, Kenan Pars and Aliye Rona are joined by Suzan Avcı, Nilgün Esen, Feridun Çölgeçen and Uğur Kıvılcım, and Nazan Günar appears as a child actor.
