Singende Frauen Women (Şarkı Söyleyen Kadınlar)

Singing Women is a 2013 drama film written and directed by Reha Erdem, produced as a co-production between Türkiye, Germany, and France, and released in Turkish cinemas in February 2014.

Fearing a possible earthquake, one of Istanbul's islands has been largely evacuated. Mesut, one of the few who stay behind, lives in a large house with only his dog for company; his sole contact is Esma, the housekeeper who comes to cook and clean. One day Esma encounters a lonely young woman wandering in the forest with a bag and decides to take her in. Meanwhile Mesut's son Adem, struggling with a failing marriage and a recent illness, is forced to return to the father he has never gotten along with. These strangers end up gathered under one roof, and life in the house grows increasingly strange amid the island's apocalyptic mood.

The main cast includes Binnur Kaya, Philip Arditti, Kevork Malikyan, Deniz Hasgüler, Aylin Aslım, and Vedat Erincin, with Halit Ergenç providing a voice-over.
