Secrets from the Past (Geçmişteki Sır)

Secrets from the Past is a 2017 drama film co-produced by Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Directed by Raşit Görgülü and Vedat Demir from a screenplay by İrfan Saruhan, it was released in cinemas on 1 December 2017.

Ali, a young photographer who lives with his family, learns he has a genetic illness and travels for the first time to Bosnia to trace his roots; there he meets Hana, who stands by him on a journey full of unknowns. Starring Serkan Şenalp, Natasa Petrovic, Emir Hadžihafizbegović, Ufuk Bayraktar, Suzan Kardeş and Haluk Piyes, the film holds the distinction of being the first Turkish film released theatrically in Bosnia and Herzegovina after its Turkish premiere.
