Haul (Vurgun) (translated)

Vurgun is a 1973 Turkish film directed by Zeki Ökten. Produced by Erler Film from a screenplay by Fuat Özlüer, the 84-minute color feature is an emotional adventure drama.

The story begins when Zekeriya (Turgut Özatay), the manager who covets the fortune of famous and wealthy singer Gönül (Gönül Yazar), draws Mehmet (Cüneyt Arkın), a jobless man just out of prison, into a scheme. Mehmet reluctantly accepts to pay for an operation for Rıza's grandchild and introduces himself as Ertuğrul, but his relationship with Gönül turns into genuine love. When Zekeriya escalates to kidnapping, events lead to a showdown: Mehmet rescues Gönül and the police arrest Zekeriya. Nubar Terziyan also appears in the cast.
