Turkish Passion (La pasión turca) (translated)

La pasión turca (released internationally as The Turkish Passion) is a 1994 Spanish erotic drama directed by Vicente Aranda and adapted from Antonio Gala's novel of the same name; Mario Camus was originally attached to direct before Aranda took over the project.

The film stars Ana Belén and Georges Corraface, with Turkish cast members Rasim Öztekin and Selçuk Uluergüven appearing in the film's Istanbul-set sequences. José Nieto's score won the Goya Award for Best Original Score, and the film received twelve Goya nominations overall in 1995, going on to become one of Spain's biggest box-office successes of the decade. The title was later reused for an unrelated 2024 Spanish-Turkish television series loosely based on Gala's novel, distinct from this 1994 film.
