Coming Soon (Pek Yakında)

Coming Soon is a 2014 Turkish comedy that Cem Yılmaz both wrote and directed, marking his third outing in that dual role. The picture premiered on September 30, 2014, opened in theaters two days later, and went on to draw more than two million admissions across the country.

The story follows Zafer, who makes his living from pirated DVDs and the shady dealings that come with it. A blunt warning from his wife makes clear their marriage is over unless he quits, so he vows to leave that world behind. To pull his family back together, he reconnects with old friends from his days working as a film extra, aiming to finally shoot a long-stalled fantasy project called "Şahikalar: Kötülüğün Sonu," unrealized since the 1970s. When the talents of his hastily assembled crew fall short, the whole group is pulled into a funny, and at times unexpectedly moving, adventure.

Cem Yılmaz leads the cast, joined by Tülin Özen, Zafer Algöz, Özkan Uğur, Ozan Güven, Çağlar Çorumlu, Cengiz Bozkurt, Zerrin Tekindor, Hare Sürel, Ayşen Gruda and Ülkü Duru. Warner Bros. handled the production.
