Mehmet Yalçınkaya — Biography

Mehmet Yalçınkaya was born in 1974 in Bolu. He completed his education in the Department of Human Anatomy and the Digestive System at the İstanbul Yemek Akademisi. His specialties and biography were published as a Trend Chef in the famous American gourmet magazine Culinary. In 2008 he took part in the Ika Olympiade der Köche held in Germany and won a bronze medal in category A, becoming third in the world. One of the first chefs to apply the Fusion Cuisine movement in Turkey, Mehmet Yalçınkaya developed a service concept that is a minimalist and boutique work prepared individually for banquet services. He founded the Euroturkchefs Culinary Team in 2008 and served as its captain. In 2010 he held gastronomy workshops within Heds Grup / the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, and he also gave gala dinners at many international events, including the Berlin Film Festival and the Grüne Woche I.T.B Tourism Fair. As the director of the Turculina Team of the Turkish Chefs Federation, he became world runner-up at the World Chefs Olympics in 2012.
